MILP is a creative collective dedicated to advancing the art of the moving image. Our community is made up of practitioners across the spectrum of time-based media, including fiction film, video art, film-poems, essay films, animation and experimental documentaries. We also embrace screenwriters, film composers, and any crew members who share our passion for innovative storytelling.

At the heart of our practice lies the cultivation of artistic dialogue. We gather monthly to present and critically engage with works in development, fostering an environment of creative risk-taking and conceptual exploration. MILP also functions as an incubator for collaborative projects, curatorial and programming initiatives.

MILP was founded and facilitated by Andrea Rassell and Cassandra Tytler.

Andrea is a media artist, filmmaker and researcher. Working in artforms that engage with nanoscience and nanotechnology, she creates experimental films and moving image installations that explore our perception of the nanoscale realm.

Cassandra is an artist and researcher. She uses storytelling and new technologies to explore how politics, place, and power connect. Her work looks at how history and culture shape the present, and how immersive media can bring people closer to these complex stories.
